Me and Mum walked up to Waterlooville to get me some jumpers for New York and other things and we didn't end up fighting, which to be honest, usually happens on a mother/daughter shopping trip.
We left about 2ish and I saw a red Ferrari F430 and it was gorgeous. It was the spyder version I think, and watching it move was like watching poetry in motion. And the sound of the engine, music to my ears!.
Anyway, firstly we went to Dorothy Perkins but couldn't find anything really appropriate and just as I was about to curse my Mum's practibility, we went to Peacocks and found two very nice jumpers. One is stripy (Black and white - As my Mum said to me today "You like your stripes don't you?") and the other one is a black turtle neck one that is very thick and warm and is the chunkiest thing I own. James has some properly thick jumpers on Top Gear and I think this has the potential to join the ranks of his
huuuge jumpers (It's actually pretty much a black version of the one in the link and very pretty).
Then, we went to Superdrug to get me some foundation. Have gone without for a couple of weeks as I've never had any money so bought some for New York.
After that, we went to the Library because they were having a book sale and I found The best of Jeremy Clarkson's Motorworld' on video for £1 and Mum bought me a car maintenance for beginners book. I even found a leaflet for Castle Combe and want to go Go-Karting there! (Am I right in thinking
elfinessy that you did driving at Castle Combe?)
Bought carrots and parsnips for tea tonight along with bread and then walked home, talking about cars with Mum.
Have just joined a James May fanlisting thing and just received an email from 'James May' - I wish!. That's almost as funny as my brother being on the Arsenal fanlisting thing and receiving emails from Arsene Wenger and actually once believing the Frenchman himself was personally emailing him. Bless.
Dad's just got back from shopping and he bought his own chucky jumper. It's half James style but actually reminds me of the one Richard wore when drunk on the way to Oslo. I just told him this and he sighed saying Richard Hammond must be at least 20 years younger than him. Haha, my Dad is only 44.
